Guess What This Is
When you take a photo you don’t always have to take in the whole scene.
Sometimes it is better just to shoot a small piece of the larger subject. Can you tell what this is?
I wanted to show the integral make up of this subject.
Now, do you have any idea as we widen the shot?
How about now?
Ok, now you know what it is don’t you? Although this isn’t the vantage point that you are used to seeing.
Fine, if you don’t know by now I don’t know what to do with you. Hello? Sydney? Opera House?
Now that you know the smallest details of this building, don’t you feel you know it so much better when you finally see it this way? Wasn’t that a fun excercise? When you are out taking photos remember to look close at your subject. Try to get a perpspective that is fresh. Everyone takes this photo, it’s on every postcard, but the first few are much more intimate shots. Perhaps a little arty, but it is still a very interesting take on a well photographed landmark. Have fun.
