That sure is alot of corn! It is waiting to get picked up and taken out to be ground down for feed. (more…)

The first frost has covered all the remaining flowers in my garden. (more…)
I know, I know! It looks like an abandoned lot. The weeds have taken over the Faux Farm. (more…)

Finally, it is time to plant the corn. I love when they get the fields are smooth and ready. First they rake it out and then they disc it. (more…)

The first thing I did when I got to the Faux Farm was to check out my mulch pile and see if the baby rabbits were there.
I still had that pile of mulch left over from last fall when Nancy’s youth group came over to have a frolic and tend my garden. (more…)

I am only showing you this photo so that I can show you my photo of the fir trees from the Flower Show, again. Now, I know that the photos are not the same - but you have to admit they are at least similar, sorta, kinda, maybe. When I saw the trees in the above photo I had one of those “Aha” moments. Now that I see the two pictures together I suppose the trees aren’t really much alike, other than they are green. It is what is different about them that is the most interesting. I wasn’t sure if I made a big enough impression upon all of you with my explanation in my first post of the trees below. So at the risk of being boring and repetitious, I shall explain once more, with the the photo above helping make my point. The trees above are about 35feet tall and the trees below are only 2 feet tall. There, I feel better that I explained the magic of the Bonsai forest and put it in perspective for you. Now you can say “AHA I get it. Thanks for explaining. We were clueless before this pictorial - thanks” . You are most welcome.
