Now These Really Are Some Cowboy Boots
My neighbor has a ranch in Utah.
Although the ranch is real and they raise real horses she herself is not a rancher. She is a Faux Rancher.I know this because she flies out for the summer months and then again at Christmas and if she were a real rancher – she would never be able to leave the ranch, ever. Plus, she wouldn’t be wearin cool cowboy boots. I was at her house today and borrowed a bunch of magazines that I had never heard of. Wow! They had such neat stuff that I could really use. And they aren’t really meant for real farmers or ranchers. They are meant for folks like me. Oh it is very authentic and very nice stuff they are selling in these magazines – but it seems to me that maybe it was just a little too high end for the average farmer and rancher. These magazines were definitely going for the Faux group. Now take the boots pictured above. They come from www.rocketbuster.com where they make very cool, custom, interesting and expensive cowboy boots. The above little numbers will run you about $3500.00 cold hard cash. You should check out the site though just to see all the cool things you can’t afford.
Now this boot comes from Lucchese. This website is chock full of cool boots and they are reasonable - all things considered – and you can actually wear them on the ranch or farm. They are real cowboy boots and I particularly like this pair because pale aqua is my favorite color. Ok, maybe you wouldn’t wear this pair on the farm, but with a great pair of jeans and maybe a white tee shirt and a pale aqua cashmere sweater – how great would that look? See all the styles at www.lucchese.com
I really wanted to chat about the magazine but I sort of got off track with the boot thing. Shoes do that to me. The name of this magazine is “Cowboys and Indians” The March issue has some fantastic photos from their photo contest. Check it out – it’s a very interesting magazine. www.cowboysindians.com
