My little baby is 13. She is smart and funny and she has a boyfriend.

My older two daughters never had boyfriends during high school, much less middle school. In fact, they still don’t have boyfriends. I will have to look into that – do they have relationship issues? Anyway, Jilly’s boyfriend gave her a beautiful “diamond” heart necklace yesterday to mark their one month anniversary.  They had off from school and his dad drove him over to spend the afternoon watching TV and just hanging out with Jilly. Is that normal for 13 year old girls and boys. Aren’t they too young for that kind of behavior? Should I be worried.? Now Jilly wants to go to the mall and buy Polo cologne for him.  I should be worried shouldn’t I?  What if it is true love? What if they are the kids that say at their 20th anniversary, “we have been going out since 7th grade”. Does that happen anymore in this day and age? I don’t have any answers, but it is cute and sweet and full of hope and promise. And I promise you that I will not let them alone in the house, ever!!!! Too many hormones.
