You can’t make this stuff up.
I have had some weird animals experiences in the last few days. Is there a full moon or is this just jungle love? I was cleaning up the pond the other day and I saw this weird frog. Upon closer inspection, but not too close – I used the zoom lens, I saw it was not one but actually two frogs. So now really look at the frog in that picture. Yeah, that’s right, what are they doing? Is that froggy sex or a life saving measure? Hard to say. Don’t want to know.
This is a photo of a cow licking and cleaning up his meadow mate, the horse. Good friends, wrong species. Go with your own kind my friend – your kids will be weird.
I was going to save this photo for a story on body piercing but heck – it fits right in here with weird animal activities. I don’t understand why they put these rings in their noses. I have never seen them led around by the ring and besides they are so going to regret that foolish teenager fad when they are older. I bet they have tattoos too! Look at the two of them – with their matching jewelery. Cows with bling!
And this one is my personal favorite. Early one morning, early as in 5 am, I heard a tapping on our bedroom window. Burglar? Peeping tom? No, it was Robin Red Breast. Our windows are tinted and so they are very reflective on the outside. This little robin was so in love with himself that he kept pecking on the window at his own reflection. This was cute for about 2 minutes and then I was tempted to send the cats outside. That early bird thing is true – maybe not about the worm but about finding some lovin. It’s 5am man, go to bed! It is not cute at all now that we are on day seven of the 5 am pecking. I had to tape white paper all along the bottom of the outside of the window just to keep him from sitting on the sill and pecking – and pooping. Can’t he find any one to love out there?
