Mommy Help Me, My Project Is Due Tomorrow
Did you say tomorrow? Do you know what time it is now? It is 9PM.
What is your project and why did you just discover that you need it tomorrow? “I forgot, please help me” was the only reply she was able to give and quite frankly the only one that was really acceptable. You can’t fight forgetting. She also promised to be nice to me, to forget about wanting to spend $184.00 for a Britney Spears concert ticket (she’s back from being bad Jill told me) and I was also able to extract a promise for at least one hug a day. Hey, I don’t have much bargaining power anymore so when I get the chance - I go for the gold. So what is the project that we have to do? We have to make food, the special family recipe, the only thing I know how to make, my famous veggie pizza. Her class has spent the last two weeks on a generations project. They do all sorts of research on their family tree, family traditions and interviewing relatives. This project culminates in the kids displaying all their work and each making their recipe for the reception party. This is the third time I have done this project over the last few years so I should have known I needed to make the family recipe, but I forgot! My bad. Of course I have no ingredients and this project now requires a trip to the grocery store. I make Jill come with me. She groans and I say it is great bonding time. We actually have fun and $56.00 later we have everything we need plus some ice cream sandwiches for all our trouble. As we unpack our goodies she asks for help. I groan and she says it is great bonding time. Right back at you kid. So together we make our famous veggie delight. And because I also had to write up the recipe to go with the food I decided I would share it with you so you can now have a famous family recipe to hand down to the generations.
Here you go. And by the way it is very, very tasty. You will like it. I promise! SORRY YOU WILL HAVE TO WAIT UNTIL TOMORROW FOR THE PHOTOS OF THE FINISHED PRODUCT CAUSE THAT IS WHEN WE WILL ASSEMBLE IT.
