Bob’s Green Grass
Bob loves green grass. He wants his yard to look like a golf course. He is addicted to Tru Green and the chemicals they spray on the grass. I never realized just how green our grass was until the weather started to change.
And, as the leaves turn brown so does the grass. Well, it is supposed to and at least the neighbors grass does. Our grass on the other hand appears to have unnatural greeness about it. Bob thinks this is wonderful. I think it is a little freaky. It isn’t as though the kids or pets have grown extra heads – at least not yet, but there is that potential.
I have a 6 year old neice who was telling me about her friends at school. She said she had brown friends and white friends but no orange friends. I said ” Orange? I don’t think people are orange”. “Oh yes they are Aunt Ann, Becca is very orange. She goes to a special place just to get orange.” And then it dawned on me. Becca goes to a tanning salon and now that I think of it she is orange. So are my towels after she showers. And come to think of it, little Joey’s white feet are very green right after our lawn is freshly mowed. Raises some questions doesn’t it?
Hey Bob! You can stop spray painting the lawn now – it is fall!
I guess we don’t need to survey our property line anytime soon. It is quite apparent where our yards starts and their yard ends.
