Fall Photos On The River
I always associate stone walls with fall. I don’t why but they always seem more attractive in the fall with the leaves and cooler weather.
The is the sorriest barn I have ever seen. I would have gotten closer but it looked too scary and besides it had all these “no tresspassing” signs posted about. Do you see the little red apples on the apple tree on the left side of the photo? Maybe in the spring I will be more bold and get closer but having just passed some crazy Halloween decor down the street I was a big fat chicken.
See that head on the post, probably a trespasser!
Scary isn’t it? Ok, not really scary but definitely weird.
The scary barn and weird decorations were down the street from the Wellesley island State park. All this time and I never went into the park. What was I thinking. They have a marina, and campsites and it is just beautiful. Not that I am a camper and not that my own house isn’t just down the road aways, but if you didn’t have a house up on the river and you did like to camp, this is the place to go. In fact, there are a ton of State parks along the St. Lawrence River and for a set yearly fee you can go to any New York State park, which is cheaper in the long run than just paying for each one indiviually, if you like to camp. If you don’t, you are out of luck cause there isn’t a Ritz Carlton or Four Seasons to be found anywhere.
Of course, neither of those places have scenery like this. Look at those colors!
Gorgeous.
Even the open fields were filled with color this time of year.
I will try to get back to the park, only a mere 4 miles from my house, next summer and see how it is when it is filled with campers, and campfires and people. I will bring marshmellows and try to make friends. Though the only thing we may have in common is that I have the marshmellows to go with their chocolate and graham crackers.
